Social Media has grown to the point where it affects everyone daily. Small Business owners would do well to include it in their marketing strategy and many large firms have. They have aggressive Social Media Campaigns, funneling advertising dollars into Facebook and Twitter ads, as well as hiring “experts” that spend hours working on the social presence for the Brand.
I am of the opinion however, that Small Businesses actually have the advantage when it comes to Social Media. Unlike in a corporate structure where posts have to be approved (a process which can take 24 hours or more depending on the hierarchy,) in an area that moves minute by minute, smaller firms can actually generate more relevant content. Not better, just quicker and that is huge when you are attempting to engage new followers and potential customers.
Can you think of any additional tips for an effective Small Business Social Media plan?
